  • Education: B.A. (Management Science), M.B.A., Alaska Pacific University (Anchorage, Alaska); student body chair/president (1987-1988)
  • Member, City of Wasilla Planning & Utilities Commission (1991-1994); chairman; appointed by Mayor John C. Stein to 2 terms
  • Member, Alaska Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors (1991-1994); first/second vice chairman; appointed by Governor Walter J. Hickel to 2 terms
  • State legislator - Alaska House of Representatives (1995-2007); elected to 7 consecutive terms, representing the City of Wasilla, portions of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and Chugiak/Peters Creek
